Small sheltered Cork Harbour strand east of Cobh
Glenmore Strand is a small sheltered shore on Cork Harbour, east of Cobh. Recent visitors describe it as quiet and mention stone-skipping, waterside benches and the start of the 21 Ditch Walk. A lane reaches the strand, but space is limited and no toilets, lifeguard service or monitored bathing status was verified. A 1945 Cork Historical and Archaeological Society paper also names Glenmore Strand among local landing places associated with nineteenth-century smuggling stories.
