Blue Flag cove beside the Inishowen lighthouses
Stroove Beach is a compact sandy cove between rocky headlands at the mouth of Lough Foyle, beside the two Inishowen lighthouse towers. It holds a Blue Flag for 2026. Donegal's visitor service lists toilets and seasonal lifeguards, and its accessibility guide includes Stroove among the county's wheelchair-accessible beaches, with a beach wheelchair available during the bathing season. The twin lights were first lit in 1837 to guide vessels past the Tuns Bank. Bring litter home under the beach's Pack It In, Pack It Out programme.
