Small shingle spit on a Lough Derg island
Clounty Island Shore is a tiny shingle spit at the northern end of a small island in Lough Derg. The pale shore is clear in satellite imagery and the point is mapped as a beach, but there is no bridge, public landing, exact Google beach listing or visitor facility at the site. It is best understood as a remote natural shoreline feature rather than a conventional day-trip beach.
