Long Green Coast beach on Galway Bay
Bishop's Quarter Beach is a long sandy beach on Galway Bay at the edge of the Burren. Clare County Council lists parking, accessible parking, toilets, a lifebuoy, first-aid equipment and seasonal lifeguard cover, and the beach held a Green Coast Award in 2025. Dunes back the strand, while an isolated mid-nineteenth-century quay survives farther southwest. Check the current lifeguard dates and posted dog restrictions when you arrive.
