The place

About Ballybunnion South Beach

Ballybunnion South is an exposed sandy beach facing due west onto the Atlantic ocean, thus the beach can be rough at times. There is a narrow strip of vegetation separating the beach from the road and the footpath which connect the beach and Ballybunnion town. Public access is recorded, although the final approach and usable shore can still change with tide, weather and local conditions. Official information lists parking, toilets and seasonal lifeguard provision; check current availability and local notices before relying on them.
