The place

About Dumhach, Inishbofin

Dumhach Beach is a long sandy beach located on the south eastern shore of Inishbofin Island. It is a machair and dune system with marram grass and as such requires conservation and protection. The setting requires boat access; confirm permission, landing conditions, weather, tide and a safe return plan before travelling. Treat it as an unserviced natural shore: do not assume parking, toilets or lifeguard cover, and check tide, weather and sea conditions before entering the water.
