About Cadogan's Strand (Trá na hAidhleann)

Cadogan's Strand, also known as Trá na hAidhleann, is a small sheltered beach just outside Schull. The south-facing strand has a mix of sand and stone, and visitors commonly mention swimming, paddling, picnics and walks on the surrounding quiet lanes. Google Maps currently lists it as a public beach, but conditions and tides still need to be judged on the day and no lifeguard cover is assumed.
