The place

About Garretstown Strand

Garrettstown Beach is a south facing, gently sloping, sandy beach which is flanked on both sides by rocky cliffs. Map geometry keeps this location separate from Garrylucas, White Strand, around 730 metres away. It is quite open to rough weather and rough seas. Public access is recorded, although the final approach and usable shoreline can still change with tide, weather and local conditions. The official beach information lists parking, toilets and seasonal lifeguard provision; check current opening, staffing and beach notices before relying on them.
