Rocky swimming cove on the eastern side of Clonakilty Bay
Simon's Cove is a compact rocky inlet on the eastern side of Clonakilty Bay, with broad flat rock, a small pebble strand and a narrow channel between dark reefs. Cork County Council records the cove as a geological heritage site, and a precisely geotagged photograph confirms the strand. Swimming guides describe use of the cove, but part of the adjoining land, parking and slipway is private, so public access should not be assumed without checking locally.
